This project consisted of a full landscape reconstruction in Hudson, WI, requiring demolition, material removal, structural wall installation, and site redevelopment. Johnson Lawn Solutions began by excavating and removing approximately 35,000 pounds of existing river rock and unsuitable base material to expose a stable subgrade. The site was then regraded and compacted to establish proper drainage and load-bearing support for new hardscape features. We engineered and constructed two segmental retaining walls — one integrated with the patio perimeter and a second structural wall surrounding the egress door — each installed on a compacted aggregate base with proper setback, leveling, and drainage provisions to ensure long-term structural performance.

Following wall construction, we imported and installed approximately 38,000 pounds of clean stone and retaining wall block, using controlled compaction techniques to achieve optimal stability and settlement resistance. Final grading was completed to direct surface water away from structures and improve site functionality.
